mycenaeThe modern town of Delphi
A small charming village within walking distance of the ancient shrine.

Delphi town is a place to stop overnight. It's walking distance to the shrine, has a few hotels and about three streets.

Be sure to check out the view.

A silly joy is watchingt my students first discover the view from our hotel. (2012 photo)

There are just two or three very narrow streets that have to be used as unloading areas by the tour busses. (2013 photo)

Just to the east of the town is this set of flags. The ancient site is just around the corner. (2013 photo.)

The city is on the side of a hill. (2013 photo)

Up above the town is a cemetery. (2013 photo.)

Shop at night.

Shop interior.
You can eat dinner outside and with the view as well.

As in every Greek town: flowers, and more flowers.

The sign says "Professional and commercial club."
