Galaxidi

A scenic fishing village near Delphi that used to be a shipping powerhouse.

Galaxidi is down on the bay to the west of Delphi. You can see it from Delphi.

Back in the day it was a center for a commercial fishing fleet of some size.

It's history goes back to classical times. During the Greek war of independence it had one of the first newspapers of that era.

Now it is a very pretty little village.

Wish I could stay there for a while.

Greek villages at night are special.

Central square.

"Fine gift items; cigaretts."

How about a hotel?

Grab some food.

Flowers in summer.

At night it can shimmer.

Peaceful.
