Earth, air, water, fire. How could anyone decide that these were all the fundimental building blocks of the universe. Well, take a look at this image (taken off Patmos in 1986). What do you see? Water, of course. The earth of the islands in the distance. The air is often misty, visible, the wind a force, so that is air. But you see no fire? Look up, what do you think the sun is? There's your fire. And you've described the entire picture.
