Sitting right by a very busy modern street is this arch built by Roman Emperor Hadrian in about 132 AD to note the boundary between the ancient city (though the arch) and the new one (behind this photo) where the Temple of Olympian Zeus was.

It is 18m high.

I've never heard if this was part of a larger monument originally or if this was free standing.
